Microsoft ® FrontPage ® 2000 is a commonly used HTML authoring tool. It is also used to open a website and edit the HTML content live on the server. To do so, use the following instructions:
Open Microsoft FrontPage 2000 on the local machine.
Once opened, go to the File menu, and select ‘Open Web’ (Not Open).
At the bottom of this page that states “Folder Name:” input the following: http://domain.com
You will be asked for the password. Input the username and password into the dialog box that appears and click ‘OK’.
Then, a user can open files in the FrontPage editor. Anytime a file is saved, it saved on disk on the server, not on the local machine.
If you have any further errors connecting with FrontPage, or get errors such as the following, please contact Computer House Customer Service.
