How do I measure disk usage?

Answer

1. From the control panel, click the "Measure Disk Usage" link.

2. This option is used to show you the actual disk usage of your virtual server, from the root directory through every sub-directory etc. This disk usage utility will display the actual disk usage of your virtual server (includes the server software, log files, any temp files, the configuration files, stored e-mail, your web pages, etc...)

3. The total amount of your disk usage will be reported at the top of the HMTL page and it will be displayed in RED.

4. If you feel that you have less data on your server than is actually reported, please review the following directories. These directories are used by your virtual server for data storage that you may not be maintaining.

/www/logs (Apache Log files)
/var/spool/mail (POP email storage)
/var/spool/mqueue (SMTP mail that was not able to be sent from the server)
