VIRTUAL SERVER MANAGEMENT TOOL (or CONTROL PANEL)
Your control panel performs many of the commands that would normally require telnet access on other servers. It has many utilities written by our system administrators that allow you to make modifications to things like POP/FTP accounts, file permissions, web statistics, disk space usage and much more via a easy-to-use GUI (graphical user interface) that can be accessed through your web browser. Your control panel is secured with a login/password system.
To access your control panel via your web browser, go to:
http://your.IP.address/cpanel/
- or -
http://yourdomainname.com/cpanel/
(DO NOT forget the trailing forward slash behind the 'cpanel'! Also, if you have just RECENTLY signed up with us, you will, more than likely, NOT be able to access your domain name until after it has been registered/transferred and finished the propagation period [usually 3-7 days]. For now, you can access your domain name via your IP address (given to you in your initial e-mail we sent you with your account information))
Upon accessing your control panel, you will be prompted with a dialogue box that asks for a username and password. You should fill this information out using:
USERNAME: cpanel (lower case, NOT your server username!)
PASSWORD: same as your server password
****The most common error for new users not being able to access their cpanel is because they do not use the username
'cpanel' to access the Control Panel.
