How do I add a POP or FTP account?

From the control panel, go to the "Manage Email Services" drop down box, and select "Add Accounts- pop/ftp".

Click on the "Go" button.

Displayed will be a form asking for username and account information. This is where you set up POP accounts and FTP accounts. Information about each form field is below:

Enter user name:
This is something like info, sales, your name, etc... (case sensitive, limit 3-8 characters, all lower case)

Enter Password:
You can choose whatever you like. (case sensitive, must be at least 6-8 characters)

Enter the Users Real Name:
(This is optional and only to help you keep track of the accounts created)

Home Directory:
"/home/username/" - Use this if you are adding a POP account only.
"/www/htdocs/username/" - Use this if you are adding FTP access or POP and FTP access.

Allowed Services:
Choose type of account you want to create for this account.. POP, FTP or Both.

Clicking the Add the User button will create the account for you after you have entered the appropriate information into the form. After adding a POP/FTP account, if the process was successful, it will display a message affirming this. If the message displayed notifies you of an error, check to see what kind of error it reads and act accordingly. The most common error is to add a duplicate username (you can't).
